The Risk of Giving

The Risk Of Giving!

So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, “Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?
As she was going to get it, he called, “And bring me, please, a piece of bread.”

“As surely as the LORD your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die” 1 Kings 17:10-12

“Tell My People to take the risk of giving,” I sense YeHoVAH is saying this to his people.

A lot of time your biggest fear is the fear to give. Because like the story this widow had only a handful of flour! There was no hope of anything coming once that was exhausted. To make matters worst; there was famine.
The reason only few are blessed and enjoy the double portion is because few are willing to take the risk of giving.

Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son.” 1 Kings 17:13

Elijah inspires her not to be afraid! The Most High is about to do a miracle for her, but it REQUIRED her participation!

She must FIRST, give to the prophet before even giving to her own son. Huh?
But you see, the overflow blessings is rooted in time first being obedient to YeHoVAH! Today, take the risk of giving!

Our biggest test in the face of famine will be the test to give!

I received an offering from a sister today toward the Kingdom Legacy Project, in her eyes they were small amount, but she said to me I am just stepping out in faith. She was giving all she had, she was taking a risk! I sense Father is about to surprise those who have taken the risk to give to the Kingdom legacy project today!

“For this is what YeHoVaH, the Elohim of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the YeHoVAH sends rain on the land.’”
She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family.” 1 Kings 17:14-15
