The Ark Carriers

The Ark Carriers

Carrying the Presence of God is our primary responsibility in ministry. As long as minor things distracts your heart, you can’t carry God’s presence far.
The priests didn’t stop moving when they felt tired, they stopped when the Ark say do. The Ark determined the distance not the priests. The priests carried the Ark but didn’t direct the ark. To know where the ark was going, their whole attention and affection was to be on the Ark. To carry God’s presence we must be priestly-minded people.

  1. Consecration
  2. Dedication
  3. Determination
  4. Purification
  5. Adoration

Then David said, “No one may carry the ark of God but the Levites, for the LORD has chosen them to carry the ark of God and to minister before Him forever”” (I Chronicles 15:2).

To understand the secret to carrying God’s presence, we can learn from how the priest carried the ark of the covenant. The key is this: “”The Priests carried what they didn’t direct!””

“And they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ARK OF THE COVENANT of the LORD your God with the Levitical PRIESTS CARRYING IT, then you shall set out from your place and GO AFTER IT.”Joshua 3:3

The people were commanded to GO AFTER IT [ARK], not GO AFTER THE PRIESTS.

Though the priests carried the ark, the people didn’t follow the priests they were following the Ark. It was the Ark that gave direction and guidance not the Priests. The Priest only yielded their shoulders to carry it. To carry God’s Presence all He needs from us is our yielded shoulders!

The Priests didn’t listen with their heads, they listened with their shoulders, because the future and destiny of Israel was resting on their shoulders.

To become carriers of God’s Presence in the 21st century, we must know that we don’t direct or guide the Presence, we carry what we can’t direct. Therefore, we only YIELD not LEAD.
